Designs for sale, with the designer paid
A design in the gallery can carry a price now. A developer buys a licence from credit and opens it in the studio; the designer earns 70 percent, 80 percent when exclusive, paid to their bank through Stripe. A Designer page in the account shows sales, earnings and payouts.
Yesterday a designer could offer a page to the gallery. Today they can sell it.
For the developer
A design with a price shows it on its card and on its page. "Buy a licence for $29 and open the studio" does what it says: the price comes off your credit, a copy lands in your library with a licence for the sites you build, and the studio opens on it. Free designs stay free. A design you already licensed is copied again at no cost, and your own designs always are.
Prices are bands, $19 to $79. Rekhu is the seller on your receipt, so VAT and the statement work as they do for every other line.
For the designer
Set the price when you offer a design, or leave it free; mark it exclusive if it is sold nowhere else. You earn 70 percent of every sale, 80 percent when exclusive. A royalty is held thirty days after the sale against refunds and takedowns, then it is payable. On the first of the month, once your payable amount reaches $50, it is paid to your bank through Stripe.
The new Designer page in your account shows what is in the gallery at which price, every sale with its royalty and its status, what is held, what is payable, what was paid, and the payout account. Setting it up is one agreement, the designer terms, and Stripe's own pages for identity and bank account; Rekhu never sees them.
What we keep
The difference between the price and the royalty. It pays for the check every design goes through, the gallery, the receipts and the payouts. The margin on usage stays what it was; a sold design is also a site that will run on credit.
