Translations linked in WPML and Polylang
Rekhu Builder 0.9.47 links a translated page or post to its original on sites with WPML or Polylang, so the language switcher shows them as one post in two languages without a step by hand.
On a multilingual site, Rekhu Builder could already write the translation of a page or post: the title, the text, the excerpt and the SEO fields, with links to the pages in the same language. The new draft then stayed a post on its own. Making it the official translation of the original, so the language switcher and the language plugin treat both as one post in two languages, had to be done by hand in WPML.
Linked from the chat
From 0.9.47, sites with WPML or Polylang have a translations tool:
- Languages: the site's languages and its default language.
- Translations of a page: the language of a page or post and the id of its translation in every language.
- Linking: a translated draft becomes the translation of its original, through WPML's or Polylang's own calls, the same way the plugin links translations itself.
Ask for a translation as before, for example "translate these three articles into Arabic". The drafts are now linked to their English originals right away. A language that already has a translation is never overwritten: Rekhu Builder tells you which post holds it and asks which one to keep.
Update the plugin on the site to use it. Translations made before the update can be linked from the chat: "link the Arabic drafts 598, 599 and 600 to their English originals".
