What your users read while the assistant works

An action's label is what users see while it runs and on its cards; the description you write for the assistant is never shown to them.

An action has two audiences. The description tells the assistant what it does and how to use it, often in detail. The user only needs a few words while it runs: "Looking up your orders".

From today you can write both:

#[Tool('List the user\'s orders with number, product, status and total; "status" filters', label: ['en' => 'Looking up your orders', 'nl' => 'Ik zoek je bestellingen'])]
  • The label shows on the step line while the action runs, and on its confirm and done cards, in the user's language.
  • Without a label, users read a neutral "Working on it…" in their language. The description is never shown to them.
  • "Looking in the help…" comes in the user's language too.

The same label works in actions.include in the config, and on defineAction in @rekhu/assistant-node.

Versions: rekhu/assistant-laravel 0.5.2 and @rekhu/assistant-node 0.3.2.
