A week of backups, and the choice of what to back up

Rekhu Builder 0.9.42 backs up everything, the database or the files, and your account keeps a week of copies to go back to.

Two refinements to backups, both on the project's Connection tab.

Everything, the database or the files

Next to Back up now you choose what goes in:

  • Everything: the database and wp-content.
  • Database: posts, pages, settings and users. Quick, and enough before most content changes.
  • Files: wp-content with themes, plugins and uploads. Before a theme or plugin update.

A restore works the same way: tick Database, Files or both, as far as the backup holds them. Before anything is overwritten, a backup of those same parts as they are now is made, so the restore can be undone.

A week to go back in

Your account now keeps the copies of the last seven days. With automatic backups set to every day, you can put the site back as it was on any day of the past week: after a bad update, a broken page or a change the client regrets. The newest copy always stays, even when it is older than a week.
