Backups kept in your account, restored onto any server
Rekhu Builder 0.9.41 sends every backup to your Rekhu account, makes them automatically every day or week, and restores them onto the same server or a new one.
A backup that sits on the same server as the site disappears with it. From 0.9.41, every backup Rekhu Builder makes is also kept in your Rekhu account.
A copy off the server
After each backup, the site sends a copy to your account, in parts so a large site goes through. The project's Connection tab lists them under In your Rekhu account. The newest three copies per site are kept.
Automatic backups
On the same tab, set Automatic backups to every day or every week, at the hour you choose. Each one is a full backup (database and wp-content) with its copy in your account. You don't have to remember it, and neither does your client.
Restore onto any server
When a server is gone, or the site moves to a new host:
- Install Rekhu Builder on the new server and paste a key of the same project. Make a new key on the Connection tab if needed.
- The copies in your account appear on the Connection tab and in the chat.
- Restore one. The site fetches it from your account itself: nothing to download or upload by hand.
A backup from another server is adapted to the new one. Its tables take the new site's table prefix, and its address becomes the new site's, also inside saved settings and Elementor pages. As with every restore, you confirm the backup by its date first, and a backup of the site as it is now is made before anything is overwritten.
