Clients can pay their own work
A client you invite can now pay for their own chats from a wallet of their own. They top it up, get the receipts in their own name, and their work pauses when it is empty; your credit is never touched.
Since today you can invite clients into their own projects. Until now, their chats were always paid from your credit, up to a monthly limit you set. Now you can also let a client pay their own work.
Two ways to pay
When you invite a client under Account → Clients, or later under Change, you choose who pays the work the client asks for:
- You, from your credit. Their work counts against the monthly limit you set, and you can invoice it.
- The client, from their own wallet. Rekhu charges the wallet directly, at Rekhu's own price.
You can switch either way at any time. When you pay again, the wallet keeps its balance for later.
The client's wallet
A client who pays their own work gets three pages of their own: Wallet, Invoices and Billing details.
- They top up by card through Stripe, as you do.
- Receipts are made out in their name, with the company details they enter.
- Every chat, Discover and schedule they start draws from the wallet.
- When the wallet is empty, their work pauses with a message to top up. Schedules they made pause too. Nothing ever moves to your credit.
Starting credit
In the invitation you can give the client a starting credit from your own balance, so they can begin right away. It is 0 by default. Under Add from your balance on the Clients page you can add more later. Each move shows on both sides: on your balance as credit for the client, and in their wallet as credit from you.
What stays yours
Your own work in the client's projects stays on your credit, including your chats, schedules and audits. The Clients page still shows it per month under Your work for them, with a CSV to invoice from.
