Clients work on drafts and bring their own team
A client's changes now go to drafts that the agency publishes, unless the agency allows more. Clients can invite colleagues and reviewers of their own, and paid SEO data they ask for is charged to their wallet.
Clients you invite into their projects can ask Rekhu Builder for changes themselves. This release makes sure those changes reach the live site only when you want them to.
Drafts first
A new client works on drafts only:
- A new page is made as a draft.
- A change to a published page is made on a copy. Rekhu Builder tells the client which draft holds the change and that you review and publish it.
- Changes that affect the whole site at once are not offered to the client. These include menus, forms, global styles, replacing images and saving library templates.
Under Account → Clients → Change you can tick May change the live site for a client you trust. Rekhu Builder then asks them before it changes a published page, as it asks you.
What a client never does
Whether or not a client may publish, they never:
- remove pages, posts, forms, menus or schedules;
- manage users or plugins;
- update WordPress;
- change the site's settings or theme;
- restore a backup.
When a client asks for one of these, Rekhu Builder says the agency does it and offers to write the request down for you.
Their own colleagues and reviewers
A client can invite people of their own under People, up to ten:
- Colleagues chat and add files as the client does. They work under the client's terms: who pays, the monthly limit (which they share with the client) and whether they may publish.
- Reviewers read the chats, the SEO tab and the files. They cannot ask Rekhu Builder anything, so they cost nothing.
The Clients page lists each client's people. When you remove a client, everyone they invited loses access too.
SEO data on the client's wallet
Keyword volumes, competitors and backlinks cost a little per question. When a client who pays their own work asks for this data, it is now charged to their wallet, like their chats.
